The Spectacular, Natural Fraser Valley, of Greater Vancouver:
The Fraser Valley extends east from Greater Vancouver and includes the communities of Langley City, the District of Langley (including Aldergrove), Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Harrison Hot Springs, Agassiz, Hope and Boston Bar.
The area's agricultural roots still hold significant influence over the culture of the area. Although many residents of this area make daily commutes into Vancouver for work, residents of the Fraser Valley communities share a community culture somewhat more pastoral than that of metropolitan Vancouver. Located at the eastern end of the Fraser Valley, the community of Hope is situated at the crossroads of all three highway links to the interior of BC.
Fort St John, the Energetic City of Northern BC:
The city of Fort St. John is the major service centre of North Eastern British Columbia serving an area population of over 40,000. Young families with children make up the largest part of this city of 15,000 - a community with a very bright future!
Fort St. John is rich in resources. The region gives a broad economic base: oil and gas, agriculture, forestry, tourism, and construction. Fort St John also has a skilled, productive labour force.
